What is VoIP?
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) can be defined as “a technology or set of standards for the delivery of telephone calls and other voice communications over the Internet.” (Webopedia) This is accomplished by sending voice data in packets across IP, instead of via traditional circuit transmissions over the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
